U.S. President Donald Trump said the White House considers anyone using the term artificial intelligence instead of super intelligence “THE ENEMY!” In an October 8 post on Truth Social, he renewed his demand for the technology to be described using his preferred name.

Trump presented the replacement term as more accurate and widely accepted. He did not specify consequences or enforcement steps for people who continue using the existing terminology. The statement escalates his naming campaign without announcing a specific new penalty.

The remarks follow his September 29 executive order, which directs federal executive departments and agencies to use Super Intelligence and SI in official correspondence, public communications, websites, reports, and other non-statutory documents, to the extent permitted by law.

That order initially keeps the existing statutory definition of artificial intelligence. It does not require changes to previously issued regulations, contracts, grants, or historical documents. Trump gave his science and technology adviser 60 days to propose legislative language for a federal definition.

Elon Musk has also backed the terminology, urging people to replace AI with SI in an October 4 post. Trump’s campaign began with public polls on possible replacement names in September. The formal directive concerns executive-branch communications; his latest message addresses anyone using the older term.
