Verisure is expanding its AI-powered GuardVision Outdoor security detector, bringing the device to 12 of its 18 markets. The company announced the rollout on October 2 as it extends monitored protection to gardens and other outdoor areas.

The detector combines HD video, infrared night vision, image capture and two-way audio. Embedded computer vision distinguishes people from other triggers, with alerts feeding into Verisure’s professional monitoring service for verification and intervention.

Availability now covers nine European countries and three Latin American markets, including Germany, France, Spain and Brazil. Norway is scheduled to follow in November, while launches in Mexico, the Netherlands and the UK are planned for 2027.

Verisure says data from some of its largest markets indicates that outdoor security solutions can help prevent more than half of detected intrusion attempts. That is a company-reported assessment; the announcement does not provide an independent evaluation or detailed methodology.

The product illustrates a practical role for AI in monitored homes: filtering visual events before a person decides how to respond. Detection is one part of that process. False alarms, verification quality and the speed of human intervention also shape how useful an alert becomes.
