OpenAI is expanding its university outreach efforts through a new partnership initiative aimed at student clubs and campus communities worldwide. The company said it plans to work directly with student-led organizations to support AI education, hands-on learning programs, research activities, and campus events centered on artificial intelligence.

According to OpenAI, the initiative is designed to help universities integrate more practical AI experience into student communities outside formal coursework. The company said participating clubs could receive support for workshops, hackathons, technical projects, and community-building activities related to AI development and applications.

OpenAI also said the partnerships would provide some student groups with early access to tools, programs, and opportunities connected to the company’s broader ecosystem. The initiative appears aimed at students already organizing AI-focused communities, events, or collaborative projects on campus.

The company framed the program as part of a wider effort to connect with students shaping future AI adoption in education and the workplace. OpenAI said it wants to work with student leaders involved in building projects, running university organizations, and creating local AI learning communities.
