Moonshot AI has reportedly closed its final private funding round at a valuation of about $50 billion and is targeting a Hong Kong IPO in the first quarter of 2027, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
The proposed Hong Kong IPO could raise up to $5 billion. Early meetings with potential investors may start in October as Moonshot gauges demand, according to people familiar with the plans.
The latest valuation compares with $31.5 billion in a funding round this summer. Bloomberg’s sources expect annual recurring revenue to reach $2 billion by December, from a current $1 billion. The December figure remains a projection. ARR is an annualized sales run rate.
Moonshot’s Kimi K3 is central to its open model strategy. Its model card describes a 2.8-trillion-parameter system with native visual capabilities and a one-million-token context window. Downloadable weights under the Kimi K3 license support independent deployment alongside Moonshot’s hosted services.
Moonshot has confidentially filed for the IPO, according to Bloomberg’s sources. Deliberations remain ongoing, and the timetable could change. The report does not establish a final offer price or confirmed listing date.
