Expedia Group has announced more than 30 new and enhanced features across Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo. The Fall 2026 release combines AI-assisted planning, accommodation comparisons and customer support with broader changes to booking, payments and trip management.
Expedia’s Activity Planner suggests activities, restaurants and local attractions after a trip is booked, helping travelers save options and organize an itinerary. It is available on U.S. web and app experiences. Property Expert also answers accommodation questions using property information and guest reviews.
Hotels.com’s enhanced AI Compare explains differences between shortlisted properties, including location, amenities, price and policies, and supports follow-up questions. The feature is available in the U.S. through the website and app, rather than as an immediate worldwide rollout.
Vrbo’s Natural Language Search lets travelers describe rental requirements in their own words in its U.S. English web and app experience. Its voice-support announcement emphasizes handling common requests and passing the conversation’s context to a human agent when needed.
Other updates include flexible packages and multi-room bookings. Vrbo’s Reserve Now, Pay Later remains forthcoming for eligible homes, with a credit card required. The release follows Expedia’s earlier trust research highlighting travelers’ caution about letting AI complete bookings.
