Anthropic has started rolling out monthly API credits for Claude Max and Team subscribers, according to its plan guidance. Max 5x includes $100 each month, while Max 20x includes $200, for building applications and agents on the Claude Platform.
Team plans receive $20 per Standard seat and $100 per Premium seat, pooled into one monthly balance capped at $500. Discounted Team plans qualify on the same terms. Free, Pro, and Enterprise subscriptions are not eligible.
Claiming requires linking a Claude Console organization through billing settings. New subscribers must first spend seven days on an eligible plan. On Team, an Owner or Primary Owner claims the shared balance; no Platform payment card is required.
The credits cover the Claude API, Console Playground, Managed Agents, and Agent SDK. They exclude interactive Claude Code sessions, extra usage in Claude apps, and models accessed through other cloud providers. Anthropic says the rollout will take several days.
Credits refresh each billing cycle, or monthly for annual plans, and unused balances expire without rolling over. They do not increase Claude app usage limits. The new API balance is separate from the subscription allowances examined in AIstify’s value comparison.
