OpenAI Updates GPT-5.5 Instant for Better Advice and Shopping
OpenAI updated GPT-5.5 Instant, ChatGPT’s default model, to feel more conversational and handle advice, planning and shopping better across longer exchanges.
The Turing Test is a classic concept in artificial intelligence proposed by British mathematician and computer scientist Alan Turing in 1950. It evaluates a machine’s ability to exhibit intelligent behavior indistinguishable from that of a human. In the test, a human evaluator interacts with both a person and a machine through text-based communication and must determine which is which. If the evaluator cannot reliably distinguish the machine from the human, the AI is said to have passed the test. Although modern AI systems can mimic conversation convincingly, the Turing Test remains a symbolic benchmark for machine intelligence and the philosophical question of what it means for a machine to “think.”
