Kim Kardashian has some strong feelings about ChatGPT. In a recent Vanity Fair interview, the reality star and aspiring lawyer said the AI tool has given her incorrect legal information — and even caused her to fail tests.
“I use [ChatGPT] for legal advice,” Kardashian said. “When I am needing to know the answer…I will take a picture and snap it and put it in there. They’re always wrong. It has made me fail tests…And then I’ll get mad and I’ll yell at it and be like, ‘You made me fail!’”
Large language models like ChatGPT can “hallucinate,” generating responses that sound accurate but are not factually correct. The issue has already landed some lawyers in trouble for citing nonexistent cases in legal filings.
Kardashian joked about treating ChatGPT like a friend with questionable judgment. “I will talk to it and say, ‘Hey, you’re going to make me fail, how does that make you feel?’” she said. But she acknowledged that the model doesn’t actually have emotions — despite sometimes replying with supportive-sounding messages like: “This is just teaching you to trust your own instincts.”
She says she often shares the funniest moments with friends. “I screenshot all the time and send it to my group chat, like, ‘Can you believe this b— is talking to me like this?’”
While ChatGPT may not have feelings, Kardashian clearly has plenty about it — making the AI tool, as she puts it, her “frenemy.”
