Key Notes
- The X Subscription brings Grok, Cursor and X Premium together with four paid plans priced between $8 and $200 a month.
- The current Ultra tier provides 50x the Plus allowance, but third-party models in Cursor are billed separately from the shared Grok usage pool.
- Existing Cursor, SuperGrok and X Premium subscribers can retain their current subscriptions or switch when migration becomes available in their billing settings.
SpaceXSI is bringing Grok, Cursor and X Premium into a single subscription, with paid plans starting at $8 a month and reaching $200 for the highest tier. The X Subscription combines AI chat and coding tools with social-platform benefits, giving customers a shared allowance instead of requiring separate subscriptions for each product.
The company introduced the bundle in an October 12 announcement. X’s subscriptions account also confirmed that existing Premium and Premium+ customers could move to a comparable plan at the same or a lower price, or keep their current subscription.
For people already paying for both an AI assistant and a coding tool, the appeal is straightforward: one bill covers more of the workflow. The important qualification is that the included AI allowance applies to eligible Grok models. Access to Cursor does not mean every model available inside the coding application comes bundled into the monthly price.
What the Four Paid Plans Cost
The current pricing documentation lists four paid tiers and a limited free option. Ultra includes 50x the Plus usage allowance, while Premium provides 4x and Super provides 15x. Those are allowance multipliers, not promises that every task will run that many times faster or produce that many more outputs.
| Plan | Monthly price | Annual price | Included usage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | Limited |
| Plus | $8 | $80 | Base allowance |
| Premium | $30 | $300 | 4x Plus |
| Super | $100 | $1,000 | 15x Plus |
| Ultra | $200 | $2,000 | 50x Plus |
Prices are listed before applicable sales tax. Grok Bot is included from Premium upward, but not on Plus, and draws from the same weekly allowance rather than adding a separate pool. The free tier offers limited access rather than the paid bundle’s full benefits.
According to the X help center, Plus adds a checkmark, creator tools and fewer ads. Premium, Super and Ultra provide X Premium+ benefits once a personal X account is connected. Organization-managed and affiliate X accounts cannot be connected under those rules.
One Pool Across Grok and Cursor
The company’s usage rules specify a weekly pool for eligible first-party activity across supported Grok and Cursor surfaces. Different activities can consume different amounts, so a long coding session and a short chat are not interchangeable units. The account’s live usage view shows consumption and the next reset date.
Third-party models in Cursor, including supported Claude and GPT models, are paid extras rather than part of that allowance. They are charged through additional-usage credits, and further first-party activity can also require top-ups after the weekly pool is exhausted. Users comparing the bundle with a standalone coding subscription therefore need to consider which models they actually use.
The combination builds on SpaceXSI’s push into Grok coding and Cursor’s expansion beyond an editor into services such as code hosting. Bundling can make those products easier to adopt together, although its value will depend on whether a customer’s work fits the included models and allowance.
Existing Subscribers Can Stay Put
Switching is optional for existing Cursor, SuperGrok and X Premium customers. SpaceXSI says migration becomes available through account billing settings as the rollout reaches eligible users; keeping a current plan remains an option. That distinction matters for subscribers with established workflows or prepaid subscriptions who do not want to change immediately.
The offer makes subscription comparisons less about the number of apps included and more about what work the allowance covers. A customer using Grok across chat and coding may benefit from consolidation, while someone relying heavily on third-party models in Cursor still needs to account for those separate charges.
