London-based Wonder Studios has raised $12 million in seed funding to accelerate AI-powered content creation for film, television, and music. The round was led by Atomico, with participation from LocalGlobe, Blackbird, and executives from OpenAI, DeepMind, and ElevenLabs.
The studio plans to double its engineering team and expand into IP ownership and original productions. Recent projects include the AI-generated music video for Lewis Capaldi’s “Something in the Heavens” and the sci-fi anthology “Beyond the Loop.” Wonder is also collaborating with Campfire Studios on a new documentary set for release next year.
As Hollywood grapples with the legal and creative implications of AI, Wonder aims to prove that generative tools can complement — not replace — traditional storytelling.
