Palantir Technologies and Nebius Group have announced a strategic partnership that will bring Nebius’s AI-native compute infrastructure inside the Palantir enterprise perimeter. Palantir has designated Nebius as its preferred sovereign AI infrastructure partner, with integration planned to give eligible commercial customers direct access to Nebius cloud and inference resources.
Once integrated, Palantir customers will be able to deploy open AI models on Nebius infrastructure and adapt them continuously using proprietary organizational data. The arrangement is designed to give enterprises control over their compute, models, and data without relying on general-purpose closed AI systems. The companies will also collaborate on accelerating new compute capacity deployment, including modular data center installations at sites with existing power availability.
Palantir’s Sovereign AI Operating System, built on its AIP, Ontology, Foundry, and Apollo platforms, provides the authorization and data isolation layer that allows organizations to train and run models on their own infrastructure. Adding Nebius compute to that stack extends sovereign AI options to commercial organizations that have not previously had access to trusted, dedicated infrastructure outside public cloud environments.
Palantir selected Nebius on the basis that its infrastructure was built for AI workloads from the ground up rather than adapted from general-purpose computing, and that its software and hardware layers were designed together for demanding AI inference and training requirements.
Palantir co-founder and CEO Alex Karp said the partnership combines Nebius compute with Palantir’s ontology layer to deliver the infrastructure sovereignty its enterprise partners are seeking. Nebius founder and CEO Arkady Volozh said the combination gives commercial clients the performance of large-scale AI infrastructure alongside meaningful control over their data and model outputs.
