Executives from leading AI companies are expected to attend the G7 summit in Evian-les-Bains, France, running June 15 to 17, according to officials from the French government.
Expected attendees include Sam Altman of OpenAI, Demis Hassabis of Google DeepMind, Dario Amodei of Anthropic, and Arthur Mensch of Mistral AI. Additional participants include Aidan Gomez of Cohere, Robin Rombach of Black Forest Labs, Pratyush Kumar of Sarvam AI, Victor Riparbelli of Synthesia, Alex Wang of Meta, Marc Benioff of Salesforce, and Ren Ito of Sakana AI.
The summit will bring together the heads of government of France, Britain, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United States, alongside European Union representatives. Tech executives are scheduled to join world leaders at a working lunch on Wednesday to discuss AI regulation, infrastructure, and network policy. French President Emmanuel Macron’s office also confirmed that leaders will address a declaration on the protection of minors online.
France has positioned itself as a central venue for international AI governance discussions. The country hosted the AI Action Summit in Paris earlier this year, drawing government officials and industry leaders to debate safety, regulation, and the economic implications of large-scale AI deployment. The inclusion of private-sector AI executives at a G7 gathering underscores the growing role of industry in shaping policy at the highest levels of international coordination.
The meeting reflects a broader effort by leading economies to establish common frameworks around AI development as the technology’s commercial and geopolitical significance continues to grow. Model governance, compute infrastructure, and cross-border data flows are expected to feature in the discussions.
