OpenAI has added promotional API credits to eligible ChatGPT Pro and Business subscriptions, letting customers fund applications and agents separately from their chat plans. Pro subscribers can claim $100, $200 or $500 per monthly billing period, matching their subscription tier.
Business workspaces receive $20 per paid Standard seat and $100 per paid Premium seat, pooled at a maximum of $500 per month, according to OpenAI’s benefit terms. Annually prepaid workspaces receive the yearly grant upfront, capped at $6,000.
The paid subscription must have been active for at least seven days. Activation is available through ChatGPT billing or API Platform billing, linking one API organization. Claimants must own both sides and use the same email address; Business membership or administrator status alone is insufficient.
The first grant is prorated for the remaining billing period. Subsequent credits arrive automatically at eligible renewals while the benefit remains available. Unused amounts expire at the billing cycle’s end without rolling over, including the annual cycle for prepaid Business plans.
OpenAI’s developer guide excludes Codex usage through API keys and says the credits do not raise ChatGPT or signed-in Codex limits. The offer follows Anthropic’s API credits for Claude Max and Team subscriptions.
