Meta is rolling out a new centralized support hub for Facebook and Instagram users to streamline how they report issues, recover accounts, and secure profiles. The experience integrates AI-powered search and a virtual assistant designed to provide personalized help with tasks such as restoring access, adjusting account settings, or resolving profile issues. The feature is launching globally on iOS and Android, beginning with Facebook.

Meta says its AI systems have helped reduce account hacks by more than 30% and improved detection of phishing, suspicious activity, and compromised accounts. The company also claims fewer accidental account deactivations and faster appeals processing driven by automated review tools.

However, many users continue to report sudden lockouts, errors, and limited human involvement in support decisions. Legal pressures have grown as businesses affected by mistaken account suspensions pursue claims. A dedicated Reddit forum has emerged to assist users preparing lawsuits.

The new hub aims to simplify verification steps, improve alerts, and support additional security options such as two-factor authentication and passkey setup. It also offers selfie-video identity checks as an optional recovery method.

The update arrives as Meta reallocates resources across its portfolio. The company is reportedly considering cuts of up to 30% in its Metaverse division to concentrate more heavily on AI-driven initiatives.
