Google’s AI chatbot Gemini has exceeded 750 million monthly active users, according to Alphabet’s fourth-quarter 2025 earnings report. The figure marks a sharp increase from the prior quarter, when Google reported 650 million monthly users, underscoring rapid consumer adoption of the product.
Gemini’s growth follows the launch of Gemini 3, Google’s most advanced AI model to date. Chief Executive Officer Sundar Pichai said the rollout of Gemini 3 in AI mode was a positive contributor to user growth and overall engagement. Google executives emphasized a dual focus on free access and paid subscriptions to expand adoption.
The company recently introduced Google AI Plus, a lower-priced subscription tier at $7.99 per month, aimed at attracting more cost-conscious users. The plan was launched too recently to affect the reported quarterly figures.
Gemini’s expansion coincides with strong financial performance at Alphabet, which reported more than $400 billion in annual revenue for the first time. Google attributed the milestone in part to rising demand for AI services, including increased use of its AI models through APIs and investments in custom AI hardware such as its Ironwood TPU accelerator chip.
