Anthropic plans to share its third-quarter financial results for the first time with prospective institutional investors on October 14, CNBC reported, citing two people familiar with the matter. The meeting is planned at the Claude developer’s San Francisco headquarters ahead of a potential IPO.
The presentation will help executives and bankers assess investor appetite and provide a clearer view of growth and profitability, CNBC said. Anthropic declined to comment; no public results release was confirmed.
CNBC described preparations for a potential $2 trillion listing, but its sources could not confirm a trading date. That valuation is a reported possibility, rather than finalized offering terms.
Anthropic’s May 28 Series H announcement provides an official benchmark: $65 billion raised at a $965 billion post-money valuation. The company also said its revenue run rate had crossed $47 billion earlier that month, reflecting the pace of sales rather than a completed year’s revenue.
The disclosure follows scrutiny of OpenAI’s revenue figures, where different treatment of cloud partner sales helped explain competing annualized estimates. How Anthropic presents partner revenue, operating costs and profit measures will matter for comparisons. CNBC said the accounting basis for the forthcoming figures remained unclear.
