This approach allows the company to invest in research, education, and accessibility initiatives, including AI training for educators in more than 60 countries, government pilot programs, and discounted access for nonprofits.

Supporting Commerce Without Ads

While Claude will remain ad-free, Anthropic is exploring ways to support commerce on user terms. Agentic commerce, where Claude acts on a user’s behalf to handle purchases or bookings, is a key focus.

Third-party integrations, including Figma, Asana, and Canva, allow users to perform work tasks directly within Claude without involving advertisers. All interactions are initiated by the user, maintaining trust and alignment with their goals.

Preserving a Trusted Tool for Thought

Anthropic positioned Claude as a “clean, focused space” for work and deep thinking, free from commercial pressures. “Our experience of using the internet has made it easy to assume that advertising is inevitable,” the company said. “But open a notebook, pick up a well-crafted tool, or stand in front of a chalkboard—there are no ads. Claude should work the same way.”
