ServiceNow has chosen Anthropic’s Claude as the default AI model for its ServiceNow Build Agent and as a preferred model across the ServiceNow AI Platform. Build Agent allows developers of all skill levels to create agentic applications that can reason, decide, and execute tasks autonomously, supporting enterprise-scale AI workflows.
Claude is being deployed across ServiceNow’s global workforce of over 29,000 employees to streamline sales preparation, reducing prep time by up to 95%, and enhance engineering productivity with Claude Code, cutting the time from idea to implementation. Enterprises using ServiceNow process more than 80 billion workflows annually, and Claude’s integration adds reasoning, coding, and automation capabilities while maintaining enterprise-grade access controls, compliance, and usage monitoring.
ServiceNow is leveraging Claude to build industry-focused agentic applications in sectors like healthcare and life sciences, supporting tasks such as research analysis and claims authorization. Internally, Claude powers sales coaching tools and coding assistants to accelerate productivity and adoption of enterprise applications. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei emphasized the importance of deeply integrating AI into daily workflows, while ServiceNow CEO Bill McDermott described the partnership as a way to “turn intelligence into action.” The update follows recent Claude features that integrate workplace tools such as Slack, Figma, and Canva directly into the chat interface, enabling smoother collaboration and reducing context switching for enterprise users.
