Navan has introduced Navan Edge, an AI-powered travel assistant designed for frequent business travelers who lack access to corporate travel management programs. The assistant uses conversational AI to plan, book, and manage trips through a chat-based interface.

Built on more than a decade of travel data drawn from millions of bookings across over 10,000 companies, Navan Edge combines large language models with the company’s global travel supply infrastructure. CEO Ariel Cohen said travel is a natural application for AI-driven interfaces, provided the technology is supported by real-time supplier integrations and booking capabilities.

The system personalizes search results for flights, hotels, and restaurants while learning traveler preferences such as loyalty status and room requirements. It can also respond to disruptions by automatically rebooking flights, notifying hotels of delays, and adjusting reservations.

Initially available on iOS in the United States for hotel bookings, Navan plans to expand the assistant to flights and dining reservations. The launch reflects growing competition in AI-powered corporate travel tools as companies adopt agentic systems to automate itinerary planning and trip management.
