Google Trends has redesigned its Explore page, introducing AI-driven features to simplify search trend analysis. The update integrates Google’s Gemini capabilities to automatically identify related searches and suggest prompts, helping users quickly explore topics of interest.

The new side panel allows users to compare up to eight search terms on a single graph and view related ideas, such as complementary or broader queries. Users can hover over terms to edit them and adjust timelines using country, time, and property filters. Each search term now has dedicated icons and colors for easier tracking.

The update also doubles the number of rising queries displayed on each timeline, giving a clearer picture of why terms are trending. Initially available on desktop, the redesign targets journalists, researchers, content creators, and anyone interested in search trends, making it easier to analyze data, discover insights, and explore global search behavior.

The launch aligns with Google’s broader Gemini initiatives, including the recent beta that allows Gemini to deliver proactive responses using user apps like Gmail and Photos.
