VoiceRun, a startup focused on AI voice agents, closed a $5.5 million seed round led by Flybridge Capital. The platform allows developers to code, test, and deploy voice agents with greater flexibility and precision than existing no-code solutions.

Founders Nicholas Leonard and Derek Caneja identified shortcomings in low-code and highly specialized voice agent platforms, noting that visual interfaces often limit configuration and customization. VoiceRun positions code as the native language for building agents, enabling developers to implement unique behaviors, dialects, and complex logic while maintaining control of business logic and data.

The platform supports A/B testing, one-click deployment, and an evaluation-driven lifecycle, targeting enterprises integrating AI into customer service or building voice-based products. Leonard cited applications such as AI phone concierges for restaurants, emphasizing that improved voice agents can enhance user experience and reduce reliance on human operators.

VoiceRun aims to bridge the gap between no-code builders and high-end developer tools, creating what Leonard calls a “voice agent factory” to make automated voices more reliable and widely adopted. Its growth and positioning in the voice AI space comes as competitors like ElevenLabs continue to expand rapidly, having surpassed $330 million in annual recurring revenue while broadening enterprise adoption and generative audio offerings.
