Uber will partner with Starship Technologies to launch autonomous robot deliveries in the United Kingdom starting in December. The rollout will initially cover Leeds and Sheffield, with plans to expand to additional European markets next year and the U.S. in 2027. Starship’s robots operate at Level 4 autonomy, allowing them to navigate without human intervention within designated areas.
The partnership builds on Uber’s existing efforts to automate delivery operations. In the United States, the company already collaborates with Avride and Serve Robotics to provide robotic food delivery services. Uber’s strategy reflects a broader push to integrate autonomous technology across its operations to enhance efficiency and scale.
By deploying robot deliveries internationally, Uber joins a growing number of technology companies exploring autonomous logistics solutions, signaling continued investment in AI-powered automation for urban mobility and last-mile delivery services.
