Ring has expanded its AI-powered Search Party feature, making it available to all U.S. users, including those without Ring cameras. Launched last fall, the tool leverages Ring’s network of cameras to help locate lost dogs by scanning footage for possible matches when a pet is reported missing.

When a lost dog is reported in the Ring app, nearby cameras use AI to detect potential sightings. Camera owners are alerted and can share video clips or contact the owner anonymously. Since its launch, Search Party has successfully reunited more than one dog per day.

The expansion allows any user to participate through the Ring app, enabling broader community involvement in recovering lost pets. Ring founder Jamie Siminoff emphasized the importance of empowering communities to help locate pets more effectively.

In addition to the feature rollout, Amazon-owned Ring announced a $1 million commitment to equip 4,000 U.S. animal shelters with camera systems, further integrating shelters into the network. The company continues to collaborate with nonprofit partners such as Petco Love and Best Friends Animal Society.
