Quora’s Poe Launches AI-Powered Group Chats for Up to 200 Users

Quora’s AI aggregation app Poe is rolling out group chat functionality, allowing up to 200 users to collaborate with more than 200 AI models simultaneously. The feature is now available globally, arriving just days after OpenAI’s ChatGPT began piloting its own group chat features in select markets.

Poe says the update opens the door for new interactive experiences — from families planning trips using models like Gemini 2.5 and o3 Deep Research, to creative teams brainstorming visual concepts using Poe’s array of image generators, to groups playing AI-powered games.

Users can mix and match any models or creator-made bots within a single thread, including Claude 4.5 Sonnet, GPT-5.1, Eleven Labs v3, Sora 2 Pro, Veo 3.1, and many others. Chat history syncs in real time across devices, enabling seamless handoffs between desktop and mobile.

Quora developed the feature over six months and says the collaborative AI space is still “vast and under-explored.” With Poe’s custom bot-sharing capabilities now extended to groups, the company expects entirely new use cases to emerge.
