LG Electronics has presented CLOiD, an AI-powered home robot designed to support its Zero-Labor Home vision, at CES 2026. The robot is positioned as a domestic assistant capable of handling routine household tasks through a combination of robotics, perception, and connected home intelligence. CLOiD expands LG’s existing CLOi robot portfolio, which has primarily focused on service and commercial environments.
The system integrates AI-based vision, voice interaction, and a sensor-rich hardware stack to enable autonomous navigation and task execution indoors. CLOiD is designed to connect with LG’s smart home ecosystem, allowing coordination across appliances and home infrastructure. While specific launch capabilities remain undisclosed, LG emphasizes expressive communication, contextual awareness, and physical interaction as core design pillars.
The unveiling reflects growing interest in practical home robotics that complement smart appliances rather than replace them. CLOiD positions LG at the intersection of consumer electronics, robotics, and AI, as companies explore whether tightly integrated ecosystems can overcome long-standing reliability and usability challenges in domestic automation.
