Emergent, an AI startup building a so-called vibe-coding platform, has raised $70 million in a Series B round less than four months after closing its Series A. The round was jointly led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Khosla Ventures, valuing the company at $300 million post-money, according to people familiar with the deal.
Prosus, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Together, and Y Combinator also participated. Emergent was previously valued at about $100 million following its $23 million Series A. The company has now raised roughly $100 million within seven months of its launch.
Emergent said it has reached $50 million in annual recurring revenue and more than 5 million users across over 190 countries. The company is targeting more than $100 million in ARR by April 2026.
The platform uses AI agents to help users design, build, test, and deploy full-stack web and mobile applications. It targets entrepreneurs and small businesses seeking to develop products without large engineering teams.
Emergent is headquartered in San Francisco, though most of its workforce is based in Bengaluru. The new funding will support hiring, product development, and market expansion.
The round follows other recent financings in AI-driven coding platforms. Lovable, a Sweden-based startup focused on AI-powered app development, raised $330 million in Series B funding, tripling its valuation to $6.6 billion within five months.
