WisdomAI, the AI data analytics startup founded by Rubrik co-founder Soham Mazumdar, has secured a $50 million Series A led by Kleiner Perkins, with NVentures — Nvidia’s venture capital arm — participating as a new investor. The round follows a $23 million seed led by Coatue just six months ago.
WisdomAI enables business users to ask natural language questions about their company data — even unstructured or “dirty” datasets — and get precise, verified answers. For example, users can ask: “How many customers are in my pipeline, and what’s preventing them from closing this quarter?”
The company’s unique approach addresses a core problem in AI analytics: LLM hallucinations. Instead of using large language models to generate answers, WisdomAI uses them only to write data queries that pull information from enterprise data warehouses. If a model “hallucinates,” it simply produces a faulty query rather than inventing false insights.
To make sense of complex corporate data, the company built an “enterprise context layer” that learns from each customer’s datasets. All of WisdomAI’s co-founders previously worked together at Rubrik, giving them deep expertise in enterprise data infrastructure.
Since its late-2024 launch, WisdomAI has grown from two to around 40 enterprise customers, including Cisco, ConocoPhillips, Patreon, and Descope. Usage within those customers is also expanding rapidly — in some cases doubling within two months.
The company recently rolled out agentic features that proactively alert users to meaningful changes in their data. “We are making analytics proactive,” Mazumdar said. “It’s always been a static report, but now it’s dynamic.”
WisdomAI’s new funding will be used to scale its engineering and go-to-market teams as demand for intelligent, reliable enterprise analytics surges amid the AI boom.
