Tubi has launched a native app inside ChatGPT, enabling users to discover and watch movies and TV shows through conversational prompts. The feature marks a shift toward integrating streaming services directly into AI-driven interfaces, where users increasingly search and make decisions.

The app allows viewers to type queries such as mood-based or genre-specific requests and receive curated recommendations from Tubi’s catalog of more than 300,000 titles. Users can access the feature through the ChatGPT app store and interact with it using “@Tubi” commands. The experience is powered by Tubi’s recommendation system, which is trained on over 1 billion monthly viewing hours from more than 100 million active users.

The launch reflects a broader trend in digital platforms moving beyond traditional search and navigation toward conversational discovery. By embedding its service within ChatGPT, Tubi aims to capture user intent earlier in the decision-making process, as AI agents and chat interfaces become central to how people browse content online.

Owned by Fox Corporation, Tubi has positioned itself as a free, ad-supported streaming platform focused on deep catalog content and niche interests. The ChatGPT integration extends that strategy into AI environments, where personalized recommendations and natural language queries could reshape how audiences find and engage with entertainment.
