Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has encouraged employees to adopt AI for all tasks that can be automated, addressing concerns about job security in an internal all-hands meeting. Huang criticized managers advising staff to limit AI use, stating, “Are you insane?” and adding that automation should be embraced until it functions effectively.
The guidance aligns with broader industry trends, as Microsoft, Meta, and Google have promoted AI integration into daily workflows. Huang noted Nvidia software engineers already use AI coding tools like Cursor and urged employees to improve AI performance if it initially falls short.
Huang also reassured staff that AI adoption would not result in layoffs. Nvidia recently hired several thousand employees and has grown its workforce from 29,600 at the end of fiscal 2024 to 36,000 by the end of fiscal 2025. The company is actively expanding its office footprint in Taipei, Shanghai, and the U.S.
Nvidia, now the world’s most valuable company with a market capitalization exceeding $4 trillion, reported $57.01 billion in revenue last quarter, up 62% year-over-year, underscoring the scale of its growth amid AI-driven demand.v
