Design software company Figma announced the acquisition of AI image and video generation startup Weavy, which will operate under a new brand called Figma Weave. The Tel Aviv–based firm, founded in 2024, raised $4 million in seed funding led by Entrée Capital. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Weavy’s 20-member team will join Figma, bringing technology that lets users combine multiple AI models to generate and edit high-quality images and videos. The platform supports pro-level editing, lighting, and color control, using models such as Seedance, Sora, Veo, and Flux.
Figma CEO Dylan Field said Weavy’s “node-based approach” offers a new level of creative control, combining AI generation with iterative design craft. The integration aims to enhance Figma’s creative workflow tools.
