Cohere said it generated $240 million in annual recurring revenue for 2025, surpassing its $200 million target and maintaining quarter-over-quarter growth of more than 50%, according to a memo shared with investors and reported by CNBC.

Founded in 2019, Cohere focuses on generative AI for enterprise use, with its Command family of models optimized for efficient deployment on limited GPU infrastructure. The startup is backed by Nvidia, AMD, and Salesforce. Last year, Cohere introduced North, an enterprise platform that allows secure, custom AI agents and workflows built on its models.

CEO Aidan Gomez previously indicated that the company may pursue an initial public offering in the near term. If the IPO occurs in 2026, Cohere would join other AI leaders, including OpenAI, Anthropic, and xAI, all reportedly considering public listings, competing for attention in the rapidly growing enterprise AI market.
