Jeff Bezos is reportedly seeking to raise $100 billion for a new investment fund aimed at acquiring and transforming traditional manufacturing companies using artificial intelligence. The initiative is tied to his AI startup, Project Prometheus, which focuses on developing advanced models for industrial applications, as per the Wall Street Journal report.

Prometheus, co-led by Bezos and former Google executive Vik Bajaj, launched with $6.2 billion in initial funding. The company is building AI systems designed to improve engineering and production processes across sectors such as aerospace, automotive, and semiconductor manufacturing.

The proposed fund would support this strategy by purchasing established industrial firms and integrating Prometheus’ AI technologies to modernize operations. Target sectors reportedly include aerospace, chipmaking, and defense.

Bezos has been engaging with investors globally, including in Singapore and the Middle East, as part of fundraising efforts. The scale of the proposed fund highlights increasing interest in applying AI to physical industries, where automation and optimization could drive significant efficiency gains.
