Simular, a startup building agentic AI that operates across Mac OS and Windows, has raised $21.5 million in a Series A round led by Felicis, with participation from NVentures (Nvidia’s venture arm), South Park Commons, and others. The company’s total funding now reaches $27 million.
Unlike most AI agents, Simular’s software interacts directly with the PC environment, moving the mouse, clicking, and completing repetitive tasks like copying and pasting data into spreadsheets. Its Mac OS 1.0 version is now available, and the startup is developing a Windows agent as part of Microsoft’s Windows 365 for Agents program.
Simular addresses one of the core challenges in agentic AI: LLM hallucinations. Its “neuro symbolic computer use agents” approach allows the AI to explore tasks freely while a human guides and locks in successful workflows, creating deterministic, repeatable code. This gives users control and auditability over automated processes. Early beta customers include a car dealership automating VIN searches and HOAs extracting contract information from PDFs.
The startup joins a growing wave of AI companies leveraging strategic partnerships and investment from major industry players, similar to Nvidia’s stake in Synopsys or OpenAI’s deals with Thrive Holdings, demonstrating the growing trend of AI-focused venture collaborations.
Other investors in Simular include Basis Set Ventures, Flying Fish Partners, Samsung NEXT, Xoogler Ventures, and angel investor Lenny Rachitsky.
