Anthropic has announced a global alliance with KPMG to integrate Claude across the firm’s operations, client platforms, and workforce as competition intensifies among professional services firms to deploy enterprise AI systems at scale.
The partnership will give all 276,000+ KPMG employees access to Claude while embedding Anthropic’s AI models directly into KPMG’s Digital Gateway platform, the firm’s core environment for tax, legal, advisory, and client service workflows. The agreement follows Anthropic’s recent expansion of its partnership with PwC, where Claude is also being deployed across enterprise operations, finance transformation initiatives, and AI automation systems.
KPMG said the integration will initially focus on tax and legal services, with Claude-powered tools helping automate workflows that previously required switching between multiple software systems and manual processes. The Digital Gateway platform, built on Microsoft Azure, houses KPMG’s internal tools, tax expertise, and client data infrastructure.
Anthropic’s Claude Cowork and Managed Agents products will become embedded inside the platform, allowing KPMG teams and clients to build AI workflows directly within operational environments rather than relying on standalone chatbot interfaces.
Enterprise AI Moves Into Core Operations
KPMG said the alliance reflects a broader effort to integrate AI into core business functions while emphasizing governance, security, and compliance requirements.
The companies plan to jointly develop additional AI products for enterprise clients and portfolio companies owned by private equity firms. Anthropic also named KPMG a preferred partner for private equity deployments, positioning the consulting firm to help portfolio companies implement Claude-powered products, automation systems, and modernization projects.
One of KPMG’s new offerings, called KPMG Blaze, will integrate Claude Code to accelerate modernization of aging IT infrastructure and software systems inside portfolio companies.
The alliance additionally expands AI deployment into cybersecurity operations. KPMG and Anthropic teams said they will use Claude to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in critical systems under KPMG’s Trusted AI governance framework.
The rollout builds on roughly two years of internal AI adoption at KPMG’s U.S. operations, including deployments inside AI and Data Labs teams and internal business functions.
